Vitrakvi Larotrectinib is the first cancer treatment to target a tumor-specific biomarker based on the type of mutation, rather than where the tumor originated in the body. The drug is the first TRK tyrosine kinase inhibitor that can be prescribed for the treatment of solid tumors with mutations in the neurotrophic receptor tyrosine kinase (NTRK) genes in adults and children without a known acquired resistance mutation.
